Seven months of intensive research at the Institute for Sustainable Agriculture (IAS-CSIC, Córdoba, Spain) for Dr. Muhammad Amir Muawiya. At the ‘Biology and Ecology of Phytopathogenic and Biocontrol Agent Populations’ laboratory, under the supervision of Dr. Blanca Landa, our PhD student worked on the effect of cellulose nanocrystals derived from pomegranate extracts on various subspecies of Xylella fastidiosa, through both in vitro and in vivo trials. This represented an excellent opportunity to strengthen international collaborations and generate new knowledge regarding this significant pathogen.
